It Ends with Us: A Novel: Hoover, Colleen: 9781501110368: Amazon.com: Books

Life for Lily hasn't always been easy, but she continues to push through it while working hard. She has come a long way since growing up in Maine, and graduating college, to now living in the one and only Boston, and starting her own business. “So when she feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, everything in Lily’s life seems almost too good to be true.”

Ryle is everything that Lily has wanted, not to mention he wears scrubs-but he doesn't see relationships in the same way as she does… As Lily questions her current life, Atlas Corrigan- her first love, reappears into her life, and her feelings start to overwhelm her in more ways than one. Now everything Lily has worked for seems to be in danger, when she is faced with one simple question- What are you going to do Lily? You can definitely trust Colleen Hoover to deliver a heart wrenching novel like It Ends with Us! From the start of this book I was hooked-not to mention the plot just jumped right into it, lol. It is sometimes hard to read such strong and passionate books without expressing emotions in one way or another-meaning that I was gasping, crying, blushing, and laughing the whole time while reading this book. I didn’t think this book could get any better but it did!

I never expected such an emotional roller coaster of a ride, but here I am riding through it with wide eyes. The ending of this book has me bawling my eyes out- if only I could link the video of me while reading the epilogue… It ended so peacefully, but I also loved the references and irony referred to during the whole book.

I think everyone has to read It Ends with Us at some point in their lives, whether you want to or not, because this book will open your mind to questions that hurt, but also life lessons that everyone should know. Lily is one of the strongest fictional people I have got to learn about, and I am very grateful. I give this book, no joke, 100 out of 5 stars!  :)

I usually don’t do this, but because this book had such an impact on me, I wanted to share some of my favorite quotes from this book!

  • “There is no such things as bad people. We’re all just people who sometimes do bad things.”

  • “It stops here. With you and me. It ends with us.”

  •  “In the future… if by some miracle you ever find yourself in the position to fall in love again… fall in love with me.”

  •  “Fifteen seconds. That’s all it takes to completely change everything about a person. Fifteen.

  •  “You can stop swimming now, Lily. We finally reached the shore.”

  •  “Okay. I’m ready.”
